Job Overview

You will be responsible for the supervision of the nightshift cleaning teams, performing cleaning duties and associated tasks and you will have the following skills.

  • Good communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels
  • Able to work well independently, and lead a team
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Honest and reliable with a can-do attitude.
  • The ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):-

  • To deputise and complete the duties of the Department Manager as required in their absence.
  • Assist the hygiene manager with the upkeep of the hygiene department COSHH register.
  • Implement and maintain company policies to ensure the hygiene, food safety and legality of product and services are always maintained.
  • Have a good working knowledge of all roles in the hygiene department and ensure that they are carried out in compliance with instruction, customer requirements, food safety legislation, health and safety and environmental regulation.
  • Co-ordinate the daily challenges and activities of the hygiene department across three shifts.
  • Train and coach the hygiene staff in hygiene procedures so that the team are developed to their full potential.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the building and environment is maintained to a high standard. (Building & Fabric Audits).

Required Skills

  • 3 GCSE’s or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience of FMCG/Manufacturing
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills

Hours of Work

10pm to 6am Monday to Thursday

08:30pm to 03:45am Friday
