Hours of work: 8.00am-3.00pm / 3.00pm-10.00pm

Grade: 2 – Hourly Rate £11.86

Overview of Role:

The Quality Assurance – Line QA role is to perform quality checks, record results and follow up any out of specification results during production runs. This is a multifunctional role that requires full knowledge of the quality requirements in the Enrobing, Mallow and Moulding Departments.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out weight, metal, organoleptic and product quality checks according to a defined schedule in accordance with the relevant procedures eg quality attribute and HACCP procedures.
• Ensuring all check-weighers and metal detectors are working correctly.
• Diagnosing problems and reporting to Key Operator or Manager as necessary.
• Collecting daily reference samples.
• Using outer case labelling machine and software.
• Reading and understanding product specifications.
• Liaising with Key Operators and Production Managers with any quality issues arising during production or when completing routine tests.
• Communicating with auditors and visitors during factory tours as required.
• Performing production operative duties as the needs of the business requires.
